Prevention, A definition: The action of stopping something from happening or arising.~ Decreases Pain
~ Better Range of Motion
~ Helps Alleviate Anxiety & Depression
~ Boosting Immune Function
~ Lowering Blood Pressure
~ Improved Muscular Strength and Endurance
Muscle overuse, or the accumulation of tension in the muscles from regular fitness or athletic training may lead to stress on the joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles, which causes imbalances. Often, these imbalances go unnoticed and the client recruits other muscles to make up for their strain. This eventually leads to discomfort and possibly, injury. As a Sports Massage & Bodywork Practitioner I can detect variations in the soft tissues and restore balance, even before the client is aware of an issue. Researchers suggest that injury rates could be reduced by 25% if clients took appropriate preventive action.
The benefits of the Wellness Program are also in the Prevention Program.
